Unfortunately, the Spiritful Voices stage will be dark during the fall of 2012. We are deeply sadended by the circumstances which resulted in this reality. A lack of adequate funding and the need to fill key artistic positions has forced suspending operations of our performing arts charity indefinitely. During its 13 years serving the metropolitan Oklahoma City area, Spiritful Voices Community Choir has featured the talents of more than 300 volunteer singers and instrumentalists; performed for thousands of residents of area nursing homes, retirement communities, skilled-care facilities; and have received critical acclaim for our CD and for our concerts at such high-profile venues as Opening Night, the Oklahoma State Capitol, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, the Governor's Mansion, and even at Carnegie Hall in New York City! We've brought live, choral music into the lives of so many who would otherwise be unable to attend a concert in a traditional setting...and we've done all of that free of charge! While our participants pay a modest enrollment fee to be a part of our group, we rely mostly on individual, tax-deductible donations and corporate sponsorships to support our 501(c)(3) exempt organization. Unfortunately, as our expenses continue to rise, our sources of on-going contributions have not kept pace. But, we haven't given up yet! During the months ahead, we will continue to pursue charitable contributions from generous Oklahomans and our corporate citizens. Our goal is to secure three or four major pledges of $5,000 to $10,000 each so Spiritful Voices can continue our mission to provide free performances to those in our community. If you, or someone you know, would like to help us realize that mission, please click here to contact me via email, or call me at 405-414-SING, and I will be glad to provide you with all the information you'll need to help resuscitate our struggling charity. Thank you...
